SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text messages sent by or on behalf of Realty by Hines, the real estate business brand operated by Lorenzo C. Hines, Sr., REALTOR®, affiliated with eXp Realty. In these terms, “Realty by Hines,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Lorenzo C. Hines, Sr., operating under the Realty by Hines brand.
1. Our SMS Programs
Visitors may separately choose to participate in one or both of the following text-message programs. Consent to one program does not automatically constitute consent to the other.
Inquiry and Appointment Messages
These messages may relate to a specific real estate inquiry, requested property information, buyer or seller consultation, showing request, appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, follow-up questions, or other communications reasonably connected to the person’s request.
Property and Market Updates
These recurring messages may include property alerts, new listings, price changes, open-house information, local real estate market updates, educational buying or selling information, service announcements, and occasional promotional messages concerning Realty by Hines.
2. Consent to Receive Text Messages
By voluntarily checking an SMS consent box and submitting a mobile telephone number, you authorize Realty by Hines to send text messages to that number for the program described beside the selected checkbox.
Messages may be sent using automated technology. Your consent is voluntary, specific to Realty by Hines, and is not a condition of purchasing property, selling property, receiving real estate services, or submitting a website inquiry.
The SMS consent boxes are optional and are not selected automatically. You may submit a website inquiry without agreeing to receive automated text messages.
3. Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry, preferences, activity, and stage in the real estate process. Message frequency may increase while you are actively searching for property, preparing to sell, scheduling appointments, or participating in a real estate transaction.
Message and data rates may apply according to the terms of your wireless service plan. Realty by Hines does not charge a separate fee for participation in its SMS programs.
4. How to Opt Out
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving automated text messages from that telephone number. We will also honor other clear and reasonable requests to stop texting, including “cancel,” “unsubscribe,” “remove me,” “do not text me,” or similar language.
After an opt-out request, we may send one final nonpromotional message confirming that the request has been processed. No additional automated text messages will be sent unless you later provide new affirmative consent.
Where supported, you may reply START to request resubscription. We may require additional confirmation before restoring messages.

6. Automated and AI-Assisted Communications
Some messages may be created, personalized, scheduled, or delivered using automated technology, including an artificial-intelligence-assisted virtual concierge working on behalf of Realty by Hines.
The virtual concierge may assist with general inquiries, property preferences, appointment scheduling, lead qualification, and routine follow-up. It does not replace Lorenzo C. Hines, Sr., and it is not authorized to negotiate a real estate agreement, modify a contract, provide legal advice, provide tax advice, provide lending advice, or make binding promises on behalf of a seller, buyer, brokerage, lender, title company, or other party.
You may request communication directly with Lorenzo at any time.
7. Privacy and Mobile Information
Your privacy is important to us. Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and messaging consent records will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.
We may provide limited information to service providers that help us deliver messages, operate our website, manage contacts, schedule appointments, or provide requested real estate services. Those providers may use the information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

8. Eligibility and Responsibility for Your Mobile Number
By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or that you otherwise have authority to provide consent for that number.
You agree to notify Realty by Hines or opt out before discontinuing or transferring the number. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.
9. Message Delivery and Availability
Text-message delivery is subject to wireless-network availability, device compatibility, carrier filtering, service interruptions, and other conditions outside our control. Delivery is not guaranteed, and wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Real Estate Information Disclaimer
Information delivered by text is provided for general informational and communication purposes. Property availability, price, status, features, appointment times, market information, and other details may change and should be independently verified.
A text message does not create an agency relationship, brokerage agreement, representation agreement, purchase agreement, listing agreement, or other binding obligation. Any legally significant agreement must be completed through the appropriate written documents and signatures.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, technology, messaging practices, or applicable requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
